Several of us have purchased the Diamond SRH519 antenna. It seems to give better performance over the original antenna, especially on UHF.

I have found that the stock antenna has a little better performance than after market on the VHF band. But have found the Diamond and Comet equiv. are better at UHF as stated by Fran.

I have done extensive testing on VHF comparing the stock antenna, the Icom dual band FA-S270C and the Diamond SRH77CA.
In General, on receive, when the stock antenna indicates 5 small boxes, the FA-S270C indicates 5 small boxes plus 1 large box and the Diamond SRH77CA indicates 5 small boxes and 5 large boxes-(Full Scale)
